Michael Doyle, 25, was at an apartment in the 3100-block of North Clark when he fell through a porch rail while trying to adjust his chair. The apartment's management company, Kenard Management Corporation, has agreed to pay Doyle's family $2.7 million.
Doyle is from Cincinnati. He was living in Chicago and working for a futures trading firm at the time of his death.
