CTA conductor OK after fall onto tracks

Power was temporarily cut to the CTA's Red Line trains from Thorndale to Granville on the city's North Side after a train conductor slipped onto the tracks.

Power was temporarily cut to the CTA's Red Line trains from Thorndale to Granville on the city's North Side after a train conductor slipped onto the tracks.

He was checking an alarm light at the time of the incident, according to officials, near the Granville stop. The conductor was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston by the Chicago Fire Department and is in good condition.

Trains are now running on schedule again, according to the Chicago Transit Authority's website, transitchicago.com.
