Chicago cop allegedly calls 911 to foil Niles cop

March 8, 2011 (NILES, Ill.)

Authorities say he admitted to drinking, so the Niles police officer ordered him to park his car and catch a cab or walk home.

Instead, the Chicago cop allegedly called 911 to divert the Niles officer. When the Niles officer returned to the scene, the Chicago cop and his car were gone.

A source confirmed the Chicago Police Department is conducting an internal investigation. The officer has remained on active duty since the alleged incident last fall.
