Same-sex couples to enter into civil unions in Chicago

Civil unions will become legal in the state of Illinois June 1.

On June 2, 30 same-sex couples will enter into civil unions in Chicago's Millennium Park during an event organized by the city's advisory council on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues.

Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn is expected to attend.
