Blown fuse interrupts Red Line trains

Trains on the CTA Red Line are running again after a problem during the Friday morning rush.

Smoke in the subway forced the CTA to reroute some trains to the elevated tracks between Cermak-Chinatown and Fullerton.

The CTA website says there was some type of equipment problem near Harrison.

The fire department says it received a report of a blown fuse.

As of 4 p.m. Friday, trains had been running normally for several hours on the Red Line
