The average price of a gallon of gas in the U.S. has dropped 17 cents over the past three weeks.

The Lundberg Survey puts the national average for a gallon of regular at $3.74. In Chicago, the average is $4.29 a gallon, which is more than anywhere else in the country.

Publisher Trilby Lundberg says there's a very good chance prices will continue to fall because of an oversupply of gasoline and lower demand.
