A Chicago man is in a catch-22.

A judge will decide Thursday whether to get him out.

Joseph Jeron has filed a motion to have his 2009 gun violation dismissed. That charge is preventing him from registering his weapons under the city's new gun ordinance.

The case could set the stage for a possible constitutional challenge to Chicago's new gun law.
