The victim was walking around 7900 S. Western Avenue when the offender pulled the victim into a vacant lot and sexually assaulted her.
Police issued a community alert on Monday. They said residents should avoid secluded areas such as parks, alleys and vacant lots during late night and early morning hours, and walk in groups whenever possible.
