March 11, 2013 (CHICAGO)

Mayor Rahm Emanuel and public library officials announced the city's expansion of the 'One Book, One Chicago' program.

The Chicago Public Library will now host a year-long discussion of one book and its ideas.

Up until now, the month-long programs were offered twice a year.

The city also announced its next selection: Isabel Wilkerson's The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America's Great Migration. It's about African-Americans who left their homes in the South in search of a better life.
