A church, the headquarters of a major insurance company and a hotel made the list of Chicago's most endangered buildings.

There are seven of them, as designated by the group Preservation Chicago.

They include the Lathrop Homes, a public housing development at Clybourn and Diversey.

The Guyon Hotel on West Washington made the list, as well as the former All-State headquarters on West Arthington.

Rounding out the list are Saint James Church on South Wabash, the State Bank of Clearing on 63rd Street, the Century and Consumers buildings on South State Street, and the Medic Building on North Ashland.

The goal is to raise awareness and help save the buildings.
