Sunday was a logistical dance, and the thousands of fans who came out had to pass through layers of security to get inside.
MetLife Stadium shuttered and shook as thousands cheered on their favorite acrobatic high-flying heroes in a ring built over a football field, including the main event: John Cena vs. The Rock.
Wrestlemania 29 was a highly technical production that rivaled most concerts.
More than 75,000 attended, and with a crowd of that size, organizers made sure there was more than enough security.
State troopers patrolled from both the ground and the sky as security checked every fan entering the stadium - a practice run for the Super Bowl which kicks off at Met Life stadium in under 300 days.
The tight security and long lines didn't discourage die-hards who came out in costume. Many fans were thrilled that wrestling's biggest event was being held in the Tri-State.
"It's really easy to get to Meadowlands from Manhattan," wrestling fan Matthew A. Bouley said. "You just get on the bus, it's five minutes, and then you get to Wrestlemania and you put on your red heart shades."
When Wrestlemania was held in Miami in 2012, the WWE estimates it had an economic impact of more than $100 million for the city.
It is safe to say that New York and New Jersey benefitted as well, though the actual number will not be known for some time.
