A wireless upgrade inside the Bears' lakefront home means fans will now be able to text, tweet, and have greater usability on their smart phones during games.
The park district is also re-sodding the Soldier Field turf. A spokesperson says the Bears' bye-week gives them the chance to lay down fresh sod which they hope will last the rest of the season.
The Bears' next home game will be November 10 against Detroit.
