Dog rides bus alone to Seattle dog park

SEATTLE (WLS) -- A dog named Eclipse has people in Seattle doing a double take because she takes the bus, all alone, to the dog park.

Most passengers are now used to seeing her, and they don't even seem to mind when she slobbers on the seats.

Her owner says it all began by accident. He was smoking when the bus arrived and took too long to finish, so Eclipse got on the bus alone.

Now she does it all the time. Still, some people are surprised to see this bus riding pooch.

"The dog gets off at the stop at the dog park and gets off the bus. And I just looked out the window and I'm like, 'Did that just happen?'' said Miles Montgomery, bus passenger.

Eclipse's owner meets her at the dog park. The people at Metro Transit say they'd prefer the two ride the bus together.
