Angry shrimp with BBQ beans
Steve Chiappetti
Shrimp, 8 pc
Cumin,1 tsp
Curry powder, 1 tbsp
Cinnamon, one-half tsp
Cayenne powder, 1 tsp or as hot as you like it
Dried onion flake, 3 tbsp
Pinto beans, 2 cups
BBQ sauce recipe, 1 cup
Method:
In a bowl cover the dried onion flakes with water and let sit for an hour. Rinse shrimp and pat dry with a paper towel. Clean the grill and rub with a towel dipped in corn oil Mix all the dry spices in a bowl and add as much salt and pepper as you like and stir. Toss the shrimp in it. Place on the grill and cook till fully prepared. In a pot mix the bbq sauce and beans to get them hot. Drain the access water from the dried onion flakes and put the onion flakes in a bowl with some of the bbq sauce and toss the shrimp in it. Then serve with the beans.
