Turkeys have taken one for the team in Chicago's northwest suburbs.

Sunday, Crossroads Tavern and Eatery in Woodale hosted its 9th annual 'Turkey Bowl.'

More than 55 teams used the frozen fowl to knock down pins in a make-shift bowling alley made of plastic.

The event is an annual fundraiser that is always held a week before Super Bowl Sunday. This year, it raised $1,000 dollars for the Bensenville bulldogs boys baseball team.
