Friends and family packed a northwest suburban church to say goodbye to TV anchor Randy Salerno. Salerno died in a snowmobile crash last week in Wisconsin. His funeral was Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake.

An Emmy-award winning journalist, Salerno anchored at CBS 2 and WGN. He was remembered as a family man.

"Randy's latest and greatest role was that of husband and father. As much as he loved his jobs, coworkers and friends, he was always anxious to get home. I used to tease him about whether he worked- he was always going here and there with the kids. So many fun things to do," said Maureen Kopec, Salerno's Sister

Salerno leaves behind a wife and three children.

The driver of the snowmobile, Scott Hirschey, is charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. He and Salerno were friends.
