Heart disease may be on the rise.

Researchers at the Mayo Clinic viewed pathology reports between 1981 and 2004 for people aged 16 to 64. Findings show coronary artery disease rates declined from 1981 to 1995, but it appears to have increased this decade.

Rates may be climbing among young adults because to the increase of obesity and diabetes.

This study appears in the Archives of Internal Medicine.
