Museums offer free admission on President's Day

Most schools- along with all branches of the Chicago Public Library- are closed. But the Shedd Aquarium and Chicago History Museum are open.

The free admission to the Shedd Aquarium runs though this week. It applies only to the entrance fee at the aquarium. There is a reduced fee to see the Oceanarium and Wild Reef.

The Chicago History Museum is also open. Visitors can take pictures with past presidents, including Franklin Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln throughout the day. There are several musical performances and reenactments.
