Police say drug market sold crack, heroin

Chicago Police say they've arrested a dozen people as they shut down an open-air drug market.

It operated in the 1200-block of South Lawndale on the city's West Side.

The police department supplied surveillance video from their undercover investigation Officers say they were tipped off by area business owners and residents.

Police say gang members sold crack cocaine and heroin around the clock. Many of the sales took place near schools and churches.

Investigators are still searching for four more suspects.
