Charges filed in Rogers Park hit-and-run

A man has turned himself in to Chicago police following a hit-and-run that killed a man in the city's Rogers Park neighborhood.The accident happened early Saturday morning near the 6200 block of North Lakewood.

Investigators say a man identified as Tom Dalof was crossing the street when a car ran into him and kept on going. Dalof was taken to a hospital where he died.

Later, police found the car abandoned in an alley in the 1300 block of West Granville, near the scene of the accident, and smashed into a utility pole.

The suspect Boubacar Bah, 24, has been charged with reckless homicide and leaving the scene of an accident. Both charges are felonies.
