The new Chicago police superintendent is ordering some changes in an effort to stop the violence that has claimed the lives of several Chicago public school students in recent weeks. Some of the department's top brass will be on patrol this weekend.

Superintendent Jody Weis is ordering all 25 district commanders to patrol their communities between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m. this weekend.

Weis also plans to begin police helicopter patrols on weekends.
