Gerald Richardson, 25, pleaded guilty to criminal damage to property. He also apologized and said he was depressed at the time of the crash but was doing better.
Richardson was sentenced to three years of mental health probation, and he must pay restitution. Richardson also served 103 days in jail.
Attorneys for both sides said they were pleased with the sentence.
