Popular Mechanics magazine says there are 10 examples of infrastructure desperately in need of repair in the U.S. Two of them are in Chicago. One is the Circle Interchange between the Kennedy and the Eisenhower expressways. It's used by 300,000 vehicles a day.

The magazine says the bottleneck is so bad that drivers face 25 million hours of delays a year.

The other example is O'Hare International Airport. The transportation department says it's the worst airport in the nation for on time departures and second worst for arrival delays.

Popular Mechanics says the new runway configuration should help.
