Actors play husbands-- current, past

John Mahoney and Mike Nussbaum are treading the boards in a world premiere at Northlight Theatre. The romantic comedy 'Better Late' was written not only by Larry Gelbart of 'MASH' and 'Tootsie' fame but, also, by the creator of ABC's own 'Dirty Sexy Money'.

Mahoney, famous as the TV dad of 'Fraser,' and Nussbaum, who is a familiar face from many of David Mamet's plays plus the films 'Field Of Dreams' and 'Men In Black,' - play husbands -- one former, one current -- living in the same house with the wife. Naturally, this arrangement spirals out of control.

Mahoney hopes the play will make it to Broadway. Rumor has it that many of his "Fraser" acting pals are planning to attend.
