25-year-old Michael Grace is facing several charges related to firearms and narcotics that police say were found in his home.
The incident began when officers responded to calls of a person with a gun Saturday in the 21-hundred block of West Fletcher.
Once police arrived they say Grace threatened to shoot them before locking himself in a coach house.
A SWAT team was called to help.
The situation put some neighborhood residents on edge.
"All of a sudden they were closing off the streets and then SWAT teams came and there were guys with AK-47's and rifles and sniper points. It got crazy," said Mike Ernst, a neighborhood resident.
"There were loads of police. They cordoned off both alleys," said Chris Kulturides, a neighborhood resident.
No shots were fired during the incident. Police recovered two firearms and marijuana from the home.
