"9-1-1 WHERE'S YOUR EMERGENCY? Yeah, I think two guys broke themselves into the house across the street from me. OKAY WHY DO YOU THINK THAT? Because two guys were knocking on the door, when they answered they just rushed in, I heard screaming."
Police surrounded the house. When they heard a shot from inside they entered the home.
Officers say one of the suspects then fired on police and there was a gunfight. One of the suspects was wounded. No one else was hurt.
Gerardo Vargas and Gustavo Martinez have been charged with attempted murder and armed robbery.
