Chi-Town STA-BIL Kruze and Car Show

The Chi-Town STA-BIL Kruze is Chicago's largest outdoor classic car cruise and exhibition. First, the cruise portion is a rare opportunity for cars of all makes, models and vintage to tour around picturesque Grant and Millennium Parks between 8am-10am. SAME GREAT ROUTE THIS YEAR: Cars will follow Columbus Drive south to Roosevelt Road, over to Michigan Avenue to Randolph Street, and then back to Columbus Drive. The cruise route starts on Columbus near Buckingham Fountain. Cars are encouraged to make multiple loops before heading to the Soldier Field South Lot for the Car Show later in the morning. Thousands of spectators are again expected to line the cruise route that includes many of Chicago's most cherished attractions including the Art Institute, Millennium Park and beautiful Grant Park.

Immediately following the cruise, The Chi-Town STA-BIL Car Show from 10am-3pm will feature pre-1988 registered cars along Chicago's beautiful lakefront in the Soldier Field South Lot. There, spectators check out these unique vehicles, while enjoying a variety of activities such as family entertainment, sponsor exhibits, fabulous food and collectable merchandise, where ABC 7's own Mark Giangreco will once again emcee the event and present awards to the winning participants.

Calling all Ford Mustangs! The 2008 Chi-Town STA-BIL Kruze will feature the Ford Mustang at this year's car show. All Mustangs are welcome (any model prior to 1988 and limited numbers of late model Mustangs with unique styling or customization) and will be displayed in a special section of the Car Show at Soldier Field (South Lot). There will also be a designated section for Special Interest and Tuner cars.

Chicago Brushmasters, creating one-of-a-kind automotive artwork specifically to be auctioned for charitable purposes, will also be part of this year's show. The Chicago Brushmaster artists will be at the Ronald McDonald House Charities® booth where spectators can bid on their art pieces. The Chi-Town STA-BIL Kruze is again committed to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana as its charity sponsor. One half of car show registration fees and 100% of any spectator donations will be given to the charity. Last year, $30,000 was raised and donated to the organization benefiting families of sick children.

Bring the family! KIDS: Meet the one-and-only Ronald McDonald, as he will be roaming at both parts of the event in Grant Park & Soldier Field. Kids can also have their face painted at the Ronald McDonald House Charities® booth!
