The Lake County Sheriff says Aaron Couch and Terry Gappa hailed a cab Monday night in Chicago. They asked to go to Great Lakes Naval Training Center. On the way, the men allegedly told the cabbie to let them drive or they would kill him. The cab driver was eventually able to escape and call for help.
Police say they later found the cab on fire and the sailors walking away from the scene. They are charged with theft, assault and criminal damage to property.
