Economy may force some to skip summer camp

Summer camp may be a casualty for many families struggling to pay the bills.

Camps across the country say enrollment for the summer is steady, but many parents are taking longer to commit to camp, and others are sending their children for shorter periods.

The American Camp Association says some families find travel costs are a problem. But other families are doing without summer vacation to make sure their children get to experience camp.
