Milwaukee Art Museum's chief curator takes job in Boston

MILWAUKEE The museum sent a memo to staff Thursday announcing that chief curator Joseph Ketner will leave Aug. 24 to become a professor of contemporary art at Emerson College in Boston.

The memo from director Dan Keegan says the museum plans to start searching immediately for a replacement. Keegan says Ketner's innovative approach with the museum's collection will leave a lasting impression.

Ketner started at the museum in 2005.
