Police: Man had loaded gun in church

It happened during the 11 a.m. service at Nativity of Our Lord Church in Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood.

Two parishioners say they saw a gun in David Kucia's back pocket when he stood up. He allegedly moved it to his waistband as he got in line to receive holy communion. The parishioners alerted the officers, who escorted Kucia outside.

When the officers found out the man was not in law enforcement, they held him until on-duty officers arrived.

Kucia is charged with unlawful use of a weapon.
