Risk-of-death charts show smokers should beware

If you smoke you should think of yourself as a decade older than you really are. That's what a new medical chart indicates about those who continue to light up. The research shows that a 55-year-old smoker has almost the same chance of dying in the next 10 years as a non-smoker a decade older.

The new risk chart also includes other health factors such as diet and exercise. It was compiled for the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
