Rubye Wilson Named Programming Producer, ABC 7 Chicago

Rubye Wilson, a national Emmy Award winning producer, has been named to the position of ABC 7 Programming Producer, it was announced by Tom Hebel, Vice President, Local Programming and Creative Services, ABC 7 Chicago. Wilson has worked at ABC 7 Chicago as a freelance producer since 2006. According to Hebel, "I am very pleased that Rubye Wilson has joined us as a producer in the Programming Department. She has produced a variety of quality work for us and we look forward to the continuation of Rubye's outstanding creative efforts."

In 2004, Wilson won a national daytime Emmy Award for her work on NBC Universal's "Starting Over."

Rubye has a solid background in television programming. She has produced specials for the Fox Network, "36th & 37th NAACP Image Awards;" reality shows for NBC Universal, "Starting Over," and Sony Pictures, "Pat Croce Moving In;" and the locally produced court show for Warner Bros/Telepictures, "The Judge Mathis Show."

Wilson began her broadcasting career in 1998 at the regional bureau in Chicago, "ABC News One."

Wilson has a B.A. degree in Journalism from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.
