Bond set for accused child predator

The alleged assault took place over a five-year period in Homer Glen.

Forty-seven-year-old Ronald Scalise is a security guard. Prosecutors say he assaulted a girl his ex-wife babysat for for several years.

Police believe the girl was 3-years-old when the assault started. She is now 12.

Scalise is charged with six counts of predatory criminal sexual assault. He is being held at the Will County Jail. If convicted, he could be sentenced to 30 years in prison.
