CPD adding more SUVs

The Chicago Police Department will quadruple its fleet of SUVs this year to more than 200. Superintendent Jody Weis says the police department's current 36 SUVs and more than 2,700 sedans are in poor condition. He says SUVs are better vehicles for Chicago's harsh winters.

Some argue that buying more SUVs is a bad idea because gas prices are so high and the vehicles are not fuel efficient.
