Safety of small pickup trucks in question

New tests raise questions about the safety of small pickup trucks. The insurance institute of highway safety conducted the crash tests.

The institute says the Toyota Tacoma earned a rating of 'good', but says the rest of the trucks offered 'dismal' protection in side crashes.

The trucks did better in front end crashes. The automakers defended their products.

Chrysler, for example, said overall safety couldn't be determined by a single test.
