Police make arrest in overdose death

PROSPECT HEIGHTS Gina Dominick died of a heroin overdose June 29. Police say she died in the home of 21-year-old Thomas Young. He allegedly found her dead the next morning

Police say he admitted that he moved her body to the passenger seat of her Honda Accord, which he abandoned in the Prospect Heights Library parking lot.

Young is charged with concealing a homicide. Police are searching for a second man who provided the heroin.

Bail was set Monday at $50,000 in Cook County Circuit Court.

Prospect Heights Detective Sergeant Al Steffen said Young carried Dominick's body down a back flight of stairs. Her body was found later that morning by a youth baseball coach.

Authorities said Young was identified as a suspect after detectives viewed tapes from a surveillance camera at the library.
