Buses were on their way to the scene. And those buses were scheduled to carry passengers to the remaining stops at Joliet, Summit and Chicago.
Amtrak expected to have its trains back on schedule by Tuesday morning.
Amtrak train derails near Joliet
A spokesperson said the train was traveling from St. Louis to Chicago when one set of wheels went off the rails south of the Joliet station.
One hundred and twelve passengers were on board.
