Wisconsin guard heads to Arkansas for Ike

MADISON, Wis. Forecasters expect the storm to make landfall this weekend somewhere between Corpus Christi and Houston.

The National Guard in Wisconsin sent five helicopters and 29 crew members to central Arkansas where an intermediate staging base is located.

Guard spokesman Lt. Col. Tim Donovan says the choppers and crew members will remain at the staging base until their support is needed by officials in Texas.

Two Blackhawk helicopters from Madison's 147th Aviation battalion and three Huey helicopters from the 832nd Medical Company in West Bend arrived at Camp Robinson near Little Rock Tuesday night.
