The nearby Des Plaines River crested at just over 10 feet Sunday.
The river was gradually receding and expected to fall below flood stage by Wednesday morning.
McDonald's museum still underwater
DES PLAINES Among the buildings still underwater was the landmark McDonald's museum on Lee Street.
It's closed until further notice. The building is a re-creation of the first McDonald's that was on that site.
