The Better Business Bureau of Chicago and Northern Illinois has issued a warning about flood damaged cars, SUVs and trucks.Illinois law requires that any vehicle that had water enter the passenger compartment must be re-titled and branded a flood vehicle.

But the laws are different in other states.

The Better Business Bureau says there may be people trying to sell flood damaged cars without revealing the damage to buyers.

The bureau says buyers should check for mud or musty odors in the trunk, passenger compartment and under the hood.
