One day after a march for a boy shot fatally inside a grocery store, someone burned the memorial left in his honor. It was not clear Saturday who set the mementos on fire, and no one from the neighborhood near East 106th Street would speak with ABC7 Chicago on camera.

Friday night, the community held a candlelight vigil and a march around the Southeast Side neighborhood where Sameere Conn lived. The eighth-grader was on his way home from a football game Wednesday night and stopped to pick up a snack when he was shot.
