1-in-4 parents have vaccine concerns

A new study in pediatrics found roughly one in four parents express doubts about the risks and benefits of various vaccines for their children, and in many cases, they delay or forgo vaccination.

But these new findings also suggest that physicians can play an important role in encouraging vaccination.

A separate study in the journal also found many teens are not getting necessary vaccinations and that babies and young children are much more likely to be fully immunized.
