Crash on South Side sends at least 9 to hospitals

At least nine people have been taken to hospitals after a series of car crashes on Chicago's South Side Wednesday.The crashes happened between the 8200-block of South Western down to the 8700-block.

Witnesses say the driver of a van rear-ended a dozen other vehicles as he careened down the street.

The victims' conditions range from fair to critical.

The driver crashed into a fence and was arrested.

One person was taken in serious to critical condition to Christ Medical Center, our people were taken in stable condition to Holy Cross Hospital, two people were taken in fair condition to Mount Sinai Hospital and two others were taken in fair condition to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, Rosado said.
