Bond denied again in 2005 double murder

ZION Jerry Hobbs has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges in the stabbing deaths of 8-year-old Laura Hobbs and 9-year-old Krystal Tobias.

Their bodies were found in a park in Zion in May of 2005.

Defense attorneys asked a judge to lift a no-bond order after DNA evidence found on one of the victims did not match Hobbs. However, that motion was denied.

Hobbs is due back in court December 23.
