Donations help solve toy shortage problem

Tuesday, ABC7 Chicago reported that the George Watson Memorial Rotary Christmas Party did not get its normal shipment of gifts to give away.

However, the event will take place Sunday, and there will be gifts for the kids.

After the story was broadcast, there was an outpouring of community giving, including one company's donation Friday of nearly 500 toys.

So, Sunday's party at the YMCA camp in Fox Lake will include gifts.
