The Chicago Tribune is reporting that its parent company is working with bankruptcy advisors to weigh its financial options.

A Tribune company spokesman says no decisions have been made, but the company is looking at all its options.

Sunday night, the Wall Street Journal was reporting that a possible filing by the Tribune for bankruptcy protection could come as early as this week.

The company has a lot of debt, and ad revenues are down at media outlets across the country.
