Police say the driver of the ambulance may have been impaired. He has been taken into custody.
Paramedics treated eight people on the scene. Three of the injured were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
Ambulance involved in Evanston collision
March 24, 2009 (EVANSTON, Ill.) The ambulance was taken from the 7400-block of North Clark Street and ended up in a five-car accident near the intersection of Chicago and Dempster in Evanston.
