Toys R Us adds value shops

April 3, 2009 Dollar fun shops are being set up in the front of Toys R Us stores. The shops feature items costing between $1 and $3 dollars.

Offerings include everything from stickers to games and instruments to dress-up accessories and party favors.

Retail toy sales fell 3 percent last year.

Toys R Us says the new shops are designed to be an affordable alternative for consumers facing tight budgets.
