An American journalist imprisoned in Iran is planning to launch a hunger strike on Thursday. That's the word from the parents of Roxana Saberi. She's a Northwestern University graduate.

In an exclusive interview, Iran's president told ABC's George Stephanopoulos that he's sure Saberi is not being mistreated.

Her parents were allowed to visit her Monday.

"She has lost some weight and she looks frail, but she was in good spirits," said Reza Saberi, father.

Roxana Saberi tells her parents she confessed to spy charges after she was threatened with death.

On Thursday, a rally in support of Saberi will be held on the Northwestern Campus. Click here for more details on the rally.
